The latest entry into the Mario Kart series has been detailed and it’s launching with the Nintendo Switch 2. Titled Mario Kart World, this new title supports up to 24 racers, open world elements, a Free Roam mode, local and online multiplayer and more. World launches on June 5 and will retail for $79.99 in the US and ¥8,990 for digital and ¥9,980 for a physical version. The game will also be included in a console bundle worldwide - you can read more details about that here.
In addition, a special Mario Kart World Direct will be airing on Thursday, June 17 at 10:00 p.m. JST highlighting more about the game. You can see the reveal trailer in Japanese and English below.
