Retro fans are getting another classic system to play on the Switch 2. The Nintendo GameCube is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 via the newly named “Nintendo Classics” lineup of games. This will be exclusive to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members. This will launch day and date with the Switch 2 on June 5 and include the following games:
- The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
- F-Zero GX
- Soul Calibur II
Just like with past systems, more titles will be released over time. Super Mario Sunshine, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, Super Mario Strikers, Chibi Robo, Luigi’s Mansion and Pokémon Colosseum were also shown off in the sizzle reel. Controls are also fully customizable.
In addition to this, a wireless GameCube controller, complete with the newly added C button, will be available for Nintendo Switch Online members at the launch of the system. Pricing on the controller has yet to be revealed. You can see the Japanese and English language trailers below.
