Open world Zelda just got a whole lot more gorgeous. Special performance upgrades for both The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom are going to be released on June 5 to coincide with the Nintendo Switch 2 launch. These upgrades will bring smoother framerates, faster load times and better graphics. In addition to this, players will be able to track a down in game items via Zelda Notes in the Nintendo Switch App. This can assist in tracking down specific enemies, difficult to find shrines, Koroks and more.
The games will be available as at retail individually with the base game and upgrades included in one package. The Switch 2 version of Breath of the Wild will retail for ¥8,678 while Tears will go for ¥8,920. For those that already own the games, an Upgrade Pack will be available on the eShop or at retail locations for ¥1,000 each. Alternatively, the Zelda upgrades will be available to Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack members. You can see the Japanese and English language trailers of the games below.
