Nintendo’s big March release is getting a special “preview” of sorts thanks to Tetris 99. Xenoblade Chronicles X is going to be the theme for the next Tetris 99 Maximus Cup. The event will kick off on Friday, March 14 (4:00 p.m. Japan Time) and run until Tuesday, March 18 (3:59 p.m.). Fans who are able to rack up 100 points during the time period will be able to add the special Xenobalde Chronicles X to their collection to be used at any time. Xenoblade Chronicles X launches worldwide on March 20. This marks the 46th Maximus Cup since Tetris 99 since the inception of the events. The last Cup took place in mid-February and featured Donkey Kong Country Returns HD. Not many titles have made an appearance in Tetris 99 before releasing. The last game that did it was Super Mario RPG back in November 2023. You can read more about that here.
