The free-to-play Switch and mobile title set in a galaxy far away, Star Wars: Hunters, is shutting down on October 1, 2025. The game hasn’t even been on the market yet for a year, having launched in June 2024. The current season, Season 5, will be extended by three weeks and the final content update will be released on April 15 for free with in-game purchases being disabled across all platforms. Fans will still be able to play the game up until October 1, 2025, when the servers will be shut down permanently.
Developer Zynga went on to say, “We understand this news may be disappointing and want to assure you that this decision was not made lightly. Your passion and dedication to the game and its community have meant the world to us, and we are committed to providing visibility and updates throughout the transition process.”
Hunters was gearing up for a launch on PC, having gone into early access in later January. That version of the game will also be completely axed in addition to mobile and Switch versions. For more on the game, be sure to check out our review here or in the video below.
