Mario Holiday Lights Coming to Marunouchi Area in Tokyo Nov. 14

The holiday season is upon us and that means there are plenty of places to check out holiday lights in the Tokyo area. This year, a special collaboration project with Nintendo is bringing Super Mario themed lighted areas and more to the Marunouchi area in Tokyo. Dubbed Marunouchi Bright Holiday, things will kick off on Thursday, November 14 and run until Monday, January 13, 2025 (excluding January 1).

Original Objects
Super Mario themed “objects” can be found in six locations in the Marunouchi area, including the Marunouchi Building, Shin-Maru Building and more. A massive, 13 meter (42.6 foot) tall display will be in the Marucube event space featuring Mario hitting a question block along with other Super Mario related characters and items. Shin-Maru’s Atrium will also feature a Princess Peach: Showtime! display for photo opportunities. Fans are encouraged to explore the area to find out all that is on offer.
Stamp Rally
A special Mario themed stamp rally will also be held during the duration of the campaign. After purchasing a special rally card for ¥200, going to various locations in the Marunouchi area and completing the card will net fans a special sticker sheet and an exclusive folder. These will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Super Mario Pop-Up Store
Located on the first floor of Marucube, this shop opens on Friday, November 15 and will be open until Monday, January 13 (excluding New Year’s Day). The shop will feature not only Mario themed items, but also items from Nintendo TOKYO, OSAKA and KYOTO.

Super Mario Party Jamboree Demo Station
To give fans a chance to check out the latest in the Mario Party series, special demo sessions for the game will be held on Saturday, December 21 and Sunday, December 22 in the Shin Maru Building. Participants will be able to receive one of three random stickers while supplies last.
GPS Check-in
Two styles of downloadable wallpapers will be available to those that use the check-in feature on the My Nintendo app (Japan only). This can be obtained from Thursday, November 14 until Monday, January 13, 2025.
If you’re in the area during the campaign period, be sure to check out all that’s on offer!
