Tetris is turning 40 this year and a special release is set to celebrate all the series. Tetris Forever, a compilation of multiple games and documentary clips, is heading to the Switch in 2024 from Digital Eclipse. Included games in the package are the following:
- Tetris (Famicom)
- Hatris
- Tetris 2 + BomBliss
- Super BomBliss
- Super BomBliss DX
- Tetris Battle Garden
- Super Tetris 2 + BomBliss Gentei Han
- Super Tetris 3
A brand new multiplayer game called Tetris Time Warp will also be included in the package. This title has players jump through different gameplay styles from across the series.
Additionally, the NES version of Tetris is coming to the Nintendo Switch Online NES and Famicom apps later this year. Not only this, but a special Maximus Cup Tetris 40th Anniversary event is coming to Tetris 99 at some point in 2024. You can see the Japanese and English language trailers for the game below.
