A demo for the upcoming Emio - The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club is scheduled to hit the Japanese eShop next week. The demo will release on Tuesday, August 20 and will give players access to the Prologue and Chapter 1, with Chapter 2 arriving on Friday, August 23 and Chapter 3 landing on Wednesday, August 28. These will all drop at 10:00 a.m. Japan Standard Time. Save data from the demo will carry over into the retail version of the game.
As of right now, the demo has been announced for Japan but have yet to be announced in other territories. The version of the game on the Japanese eShop features full English support. Emio - The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club launches on the Nintendo Switch worldwide on Thursday, August 29. You can see the latest Japanese trailer for the game below.
