Teased at the June 2024 Nintendo Direct, the basketball update for Nintendo Switch Sports finally has an official release date - July 10 (July 9 in some territories). This update is completely free and adds gyro controlled hoops with head to head competition (with up to four players) as well as a three point shooting contest. Online as well as local play will be available.
Nintendo Switch Sports originally launched in May 2022 and has been a hit for Nintendo. As of the last financial update, the game has sold over 13 million copies worldwide.
