Perfect Dark, Metroid: Zero Mission & More Hit Switch Retro Services

The Nintendo Direct introduced a handful of retro titles that will be hit the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pak service across the globe. For gamers in Japan, this included two Game Boy Advance games and a classic N64 title. You can see everything that released below.
  • The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past / Four Swords | GBA
  • Metroid: Zero Mission | GBA
  • Perfect Dark | N64
  • Turok: Dinosaur Hunter | N64 (English Speaking Territories)
The introduction the two M rated Nintendo 64 games spawned a special 17+ Nintendo 64 app in English speaking territories. NCL introduced a similar app in Japan back in November 2023 with the introduction of Goldeneye 007 and Jet Force Gemini to the service. There are currently three 18+ rated titles on the app in Japan and two on the 18+ app in the West.

Per usual for Nintendo 64 releases in Japan, Nintendo is once again offering articles originally featured in the magazine 64 Dream around the launch of Perfect Dark. You can see the five articles linked up below (Japanese only).
  • Perfect Dark - 64 Dream Article (October 2000) PDF
  • Perfect Dark - 64 Dream Article (November 2000) PDF
  • Perfect Dark - 64 Dream Article (December 2000) PDF

You can check out the Japanese and English language trailers for all of the games below. You can see a complete look at all of the GBA games (with Japanese box art) on the service here, and all of the N64 games (again, with box art) here.
