Those looking to face off against others online in Suika Game are in luck. The online component of the Suika Game Multiplayer Mode Expansion Pack was released today, Thursday, May 23. The DLC on its own retails for ¥180 while a bundle with the base game and DLC runs ¥420. This new update adds online multiplayer for up to two players. Automatic matchmaking as well as the ability to create lobbies are available.
The online mode has three modes - Original, Time Attack and Attack. Time Attack introduces a five minute time limit to the gameplay in a high score challenge. Attack is similar to original, however the player who fills up their fruit box first loses. Every fifth match, you can send fruit to your opponent’s box. An additional update is slated for this summer that will add customization options for the screen background and fruit box. Two player local multiplayer was originally added to Suika Game back in February following a Nintendo Direct. You can read more about that here.
