It looks as if DK’s foray into the Super Nintendo World section of Universal Studios Japan has been pushed back. Originally revealed to be opening in spring 2024, Donkey Kong Country has now been listed as “scheduled to open at Universal Studios Japan in the second half of 2024,” per the latest Nintendo financial briefing. This new area of the park will bring a new roller coaster, new Donkey and Diddy Kong themed Power Up Bands and more to USJ. It will grow the Super Nintendo World area 1.7 times.
Super Nintendo World opened at Universal Studios Japan back in March 2021 and helped propel the park to the third most visited theme park in the world in 2022.
