The next Lord of the Rings themed game has been revealed and it’s quite different from other games that have used the IP in the past. Tales of the Shire: A Lord of the Rings Game is a life sim that puts players in the role of a Hobbit to enjoy a cosy life in the Shire. Developed by Weta Workshop with publishing duties being picked up by Private Division, the game will release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X and PC. Key features include the ability to create your own character, decorate your Hobbit home, take care of a garden, fish and more. You can find screenshots and a trailer for the game below.
