#10 - Amazon Limited-Time Sale Sees Cheap Smartphone Prices

Between February 1 until February 3, Amazon Japan had a limited-time sale, and Famitsu saw a need to bring a few key items to light due to their discounts. Smartphones make up the majority of this short list, with the biggest saving being the Sony Xperia 1 IV at 38% off, but some Anker wall outlets also made the list and some SIM card deals.

Goddess of Victory: NIKKE creator SHIFT UP’s newest action-adventure game Stellar Blade is set to release on April 26 later this year exclusively on Playstation 5. SHIFT UP’s Director, Kim Hyung Tae, and Technical Director, Dong-Gi Lee, answer questions pertaining to their new title in this interview article. Questions such as why being platform-exclusive with Playstation, and crossovers with previous titles come up in the interview, which you can read over on Famitsu.
#8 - Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game 25th Anniversary Event at Tokyo Dome

Over the two days of February 3 and 4, Konami hosted The Legend of Duelist QUARTER CENTURY Yu-Gi-Oh! Event at Tokyo Dome in celebration of 25 years of the trading card game’s release. The exhibition showcased over 12,000 cards in displays, VR display duel areas and large-sized displays with special animations. A new feature coming to the team-based battle royal shooter Apex Legends, the level up upgrade perks is bringing a huge change to tactics for players, with every legend having a choice between four new perks. #6 - McDonald’s x Pokémon Happy Meal Set Collaboration

The two new Pokemon Happy Set meals, the Peaceful Place Happy Meal and the Mezastar Happy meal, recently started sale from February 9 for the next two weeks in Japan. The Peaceful Place Happy Meal set includes a coloring book with stickers and puzzles for young children to enjoy, while the Mezastar set includes a battle badge that kids can battle each other with.

Based on the Kamen Rider series, a new iOS and Android game called Ride Kamens is currently in development by Bandai Card Division. With only a teaser visual released, pictured above, more information on this title will be announced via their website or their Twitter page on February 9 (which means it is already available).
#4 - Classic Yu-Gi-Oh! Games Re-releases

During the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG 25th anniversary event at Tokyo Dome earlier this month (explained at position #8 above), a new game announcement was made… for a collection of earlier titles. Called “Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection,” this title is set to release for both Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. The Early Days Collection includes the Game Boy Color title, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 4: Battle of Great Duelist, and Game Boy Advance title, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 6: Expert 2. Both titles were originally released in 2000 and 2001 respectively. The release date for the Early Days Collection is currently undecided.

#2 - Latest Gundam SEED FREEDOM Box Office Numbers

Last week we saw the gross earnings for the Gundam SEED FREEDOM 3-day opening weekend numbers, coming in at ¥1.06 billion yen (approx. US$7.17mil) domestically, with over 630,000 movie-goers. So what are the numbers after another week, at ten days? An additional increase of just under another billion yen, sitting at ¥1.965 billion yen (approx. US$13.16mil), on track to hit ¥2 billion yen.

In the top ranking this week is information about the upcoming Season 20 of Apex Legends.
