To say the Kirby McDonald’s collaboration has been a big hit is a bit of an understatement. According to a press release from McDonald’s Japan, the first wave of Kirby toys, which went on sale on Friday, February 23, are already nearly sold out nationwide as of Saturday, February 24. The company apologizes for in the inconvenience and encourages fans to try their luck later in the week for the next wave of toys.
The Kirby Happy Meal, or Happy Set, toys will continue with Wave Two of plushies next week from Friday, March 1. A third wave featuring toys from both previous waves will go on sale on Friday, March 8 across the country. For more on the collaboration, you can find our original story here.
