#9 - New HUNTER×HUNTER Fighting Game Announcement

News

Last Saturday on a YouTube-streamed event, “Bushido Road New Year Launch Event 2024,” came the announcement of HUNTER×HUNTER NEN×IMPACT, a new fighting game. #8 - Harry Potter Comes to Takara Tomy Arts

Japanese toy company Takara Tomy Arts, known as Tomy in the west, is collaborating with the Harry Potter franchise, bringing the magical wizarding goods to their collection. Why is this a good thing? Tomy is known for their quality and attention to detail, and this can be seen with the love they are giving to the Harry Potter franchise. #7 - Season 21 of Pretty Cure / PreCure Announced

The new season of Pretty Cure has been announced via their website. This new season goes under the name “Wonderful Pretty Cure” and introduces pet dogs to the lineup. Airing on Asahi from February 4 at 8:30a.m., check out the trailer, cast and staff information on Famitsu’s article over here.

#6 - Monster Hunter and ZOIDS Collaboration

Celebrating the 40th anniversary of Zoids and the 20th anniversary of Monster Hunter, the two franchises are collaborating. The social media account of Zoids posted a new picture, depicting some Monster Hunter-influenced Zoids coming to the lineup. Check out Famitsu’s article over here.

#4 - The First Slam Dunk Returns to Cinemas for One Day Only

Originally airing in Japan back in December 3, 2022, a one-day return to the cinemas before the Blu-Ray/DVD Release on February 28 next month, The First Slam Dunk will return to theaters on January 23, with a 10:00 a.m. and a 7:00 a.m. showing at 107 cinemas across the nation. #3 - New Starbucks Frappuccinos Releasing Mid-January

Another new month in Japan means another new slew of frappuccinos from Starbucks Japan. So what is on offer for January? The Opera Frappuccino! Coming in two flavors, The Opera Frappuccino and The White Opera Frappuccino go on sale starting on January 17 and are only available in Tall size for ¥776 (take out) or ¥790 (dine in). Published on January 9, this article shot to the top on the same day SPY FAMILY’s Yor Forger was made available in Street Fighter 6. Unfortunately neither Yor or Loid Forger won’t join as fighters, but avatar skins will be made available up until the end of January and free login rewards with stickers and photo frames.
