Nintendo has made a ¥50 million (roughly $377,000 USD) donation to the Japanese Red Cross Society for disaster relief for those affected by the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake. Additionally, the company is offering free repairs for products that were damaged as a result of the disaster for those living in the area. The 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake struck on January 1 at 4:10 p.m. off of the coast of Ishikawa prefecture. The magnitude 7.5 quake and corresponding tsunami caused extensive damage to the area and resulted in over 200 deaths, around 1,000 injuries and many still unaccounted for.
