The next iteration of Major League Baseball’s flagship title, MLB The Show 24, is coming to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One on Tuesday, March 19. The Toronto Blue Jays’ Vladimir Guerrero Jr. will grace the cover of the game this year. Currently, the standard editions of the game are available on North American and Japanese store fronts. This version will retail for $59.99 / ¥6,980 on the Nintendo Switch and only feature English support (despite an upcoming release in Japan).
Confirmed modes include Road to the Show, Franchise, March to October, Diamond Dynasty, online multiplayer (along with cross platform play) and Storylines. In The Show 23, Storylines took a look at the Negro Leagues and various players that helped future African American athletes and others break into the MLB. While this year’s Storylines hasn’t been fully revealed, the product description of the mode reads as follows:
“Celebrate and learn about baseball legends throughout the sport’s history. The Storylines mode transports you into baseball’s past to relive iconic moments of baseball’s unsung and unknown heroes. Experience career-defining moments through a combination of immersive gameplay that will educate and inspire you to make history of your own.”
Over the next few weeks, more information about the game game will be revealed. Here’s the current schedule:
