Very soon, more people will have a chance to try out the latest from Good Feel. A free demo for the Goemon spiritual successor, Mameda no Bakeru, is scheduled to hit the Japanese Nintendo Switch eShop on Thursday, January 11. Save data from the demo will carry over into the retail version of the game as long as the 1.1.1 patch is applied. Currently, the game (and the demo starting tomorrow) is only available in Japanese as either a package release or digital download on the Switch eShop. You can see the product page for the game on the online My Nintendo Store (Japan) here.
Mameda no Bakeru was developed and published by Good feel on November 30, 2023. While the company is known for many Nintendo published games, such as Wario Land: Shake It! (Wii) and Yoshi's Crafted World (Switch), several key members of the staff, including the founder Etsunobu Ebisu, were prominent staff at Konami who worked on the Goemon franchise. We checked out Mameda no Bakeru late last year and walked away with generally positive thoughts.
