Going ever-further into the month of December, however the weather is quite warm for Tokyo. Let’s see what Famitsu readers are reading to heat up Japan thusly so!

Another collaboration! This time it is between the upcoming Spy x Family: Code White animated film, and the Capcom fighting game Street Fighter VI. With a planned released date of January 9, 2024, a trailer depicts Yor Forger fighting off against Chun-Li. What is a fukubukuro? If you are a long time listener of the podcast, you may have heard this Japanese term being used by James in the past. A fukubukuro is a New Years Gift Bag, usually filled with unsold product over the last year, being bundled together at a sometimes discounted price. So why is this Bic Camera fukubukuro requiring a raffle? Due to what is on offer! An AliceSoft series that was released almost two decades ago, an anonymous user has made a huge overhauled mod that increases the content of the game significantly. Aptly-named “大戦国ランス” (Dai-Sengoku Ransu), or rather “Bigger Sengoku Rance,” and using Rance X: Showdown as the base to build the mod on, Famitsu goes over the conditions stated if someone would want to use the mod (if an error occurs, self-diagnose it, no redistribution, etc.) To see more of what is not allowed and what the mod contains, see the full article over on Famitsu over here.
