An era comes to a close in February. The Sora amiibo, the last amiibo in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate lineup, is set to release worldwide on Friday, February 16. For fans in Japan, the amiibo will retail for ¥2,200 and is limited to one per customer. As of the time of this writing, the figure is still available on the online My Nintendo Store in Japan.
The first amiibo launched alongside the release of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U back in November 2014. Since then, Nintendo’s NFC figures have went on to sell over 77 million toys (as of September 2022).
