The next Splatfest has been announced and it features…Japanese traditional sweets. Kicking off on Saturday, November 18 (9:00 a.m. JT) and running until Monday, November 20 (9:00 a.m.), the next Tri-color battle will feature variations of Japanese desert Imagawayaki, a breaded snack filled with sweet red bean paste. Three variants with the question, “What do you call this?” are the theme for this Fest with Kaiten Yaki, ÅŒban Yaki and Imagawayaki as the choices. This snack is fairly common throughout Japan, though it has different names depending on the region or stores they are sold at.
Currently, this Splatfest has only been confirmed for Japan. This marks the 11th Splatfest for Splatoon 3. While it appears to be a Japan only affair, we can only wait and see what Nintendo announces for the West.
