The much maligned The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is going to see new life on the Switch in Japan. Only currently confirmed for a physical release in Japan, the game is scheduled to hit shelves on December 14 and retail for ¥5,800 ($38.54 USD). LOTR: Gollum will feature a Japanese localization and the support for the original included English. Publishing duties in Japan are being headed up by 3goo, who handled the physical release of Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania Edition in Japan back in September as well as various releases and Japanese localizations of Dead by Daylight.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum released on PlayStation and Xbox consoles as well as PC on May 25. Upon release, the game was plagued with bugs. As of right now, the Switch release is only scheduled to release in Japan. You can see the Japanese announcement trailer for the game below.
