As they usually do, the latest retro update for Nintendo Switch Online dropped out of nowhere with the latest batch of games dropping today, Tuesday, October 31. The games are the same in all regions with the following titles being released:
- Devil World
- The Mysterious Murasame Castle
- Castlevania Legends
Additionally, a “Special” version of Ninja JaJaMaru-kun is available in the Famicom Online app. This version starts players at level 19 where a number of monsters all attack at the same time. You can see some screenshots of the level below or try it out for yourself if you have access to the Famicom Switch app.
The lineup this time around features a number of firsts. Although Devil World saw releases on the Wii, 3DS and Wii U Virtual Console, this marks the first time ever for the Nintendo developed game to be released in North America. The Mysterious Murasame Castle was also released worldwide on the Nintendo 3DS back in 2014 and also on the Wii U only in Japan. This marks the first time that the game has seen a release on a home console internationally. Additionally, this is the first time that Castlevania Legends has seen life outside of its original 1997/1998 release.
