While fans in the West can enjoy The Super Mario Bros. Movie in the comfort of their own homes, the movie is still seeing a relatively strong marketing push to check out the movie in theaters. From August 4, fans that watch the movie in theaters across the country will be able to receive a free acrylic keychain featuring art from the movie. These will be available while supplies last. This is the third special item that Nintendo / Universal have offered fans in Japan. Those that saw the movie around initial release on April 28 received one of four informational booklets. A second campaign was held in late May that gave attendees a special super star sticker.
