Japanese drink manufacturer Suntory and their Boss brand of coffee is gearing up for a legendary collaboration. Starting on September 5, participating drinks in the Boss line of canned coffee will feature special The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom designs and emblems. The drinks will cost ¥140 each (roughly $1 USD). These can be found on the following canned products:
- Rainbow Mountain Blend
- Zeitaku Bitō (lightly sweetened)
- Sugar Free Black
- Cafe Au Lait
- Premium Boss
A completely new blend has also been created for the collaboration. Called the “Legendary Prelude,” the package features a deep green color and two different variants with Link from the game. The Zelda designed cans, including this new blend, will be available in drug stores, super markets, home centers and other locations across the country. These will be also available in six packs as well as 30-pack boxes.
Additionally, several prizes, including a Boss x Tears themed winter jacket and several Tears of the Kingdom themed t-shirts will also be available to a select number of people across Japan. For the jacket, purchase of a six pack of a participating blend is required. There will be 30 winners for the jacket, while a runner up prize of an QUO cash card will be awarded to 3,000 people. Those that would like to participate will need to apply Thursday, November 30.
Starting today, August 10, a special online campaign for the jacket opened up and will run until August 31 at 11:59 p.m. 10 winners will be chosen. The jacket is a deep green, featuring a gold Hyrule crest, an arm cover resembling Link’s arm in the game, a Boss Coffee Logo on the back and a special IC Card carrying case featuring the Zonai hand symbol. But wait, there’s more. Starting on September 1 at 9:00 a.m. and running until October 31 (11:59 p.m.), another campaign is taking place giving fans a chance to win special t-shirts featuring the new Zelda themed emblems found on the coffee. There are five different shirt designs and 1,500 winners. The runner up prize will be 100 PayPay points to 98,500 people. More details will be announced at a later date.
