A special summer event staring Mario and friends starts today, July 5, at Universal Studios Japan (USJ) in Osaka. The catch copy from the English version of USJ reads:
For the first time ever, Mario and friends join in the popular water-splashing festival! Dive into a super fun adventure this summer only!
Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Princess Peach have come straight from SUPER NINTENDO WORLD to join you in the water splashing festival and make it even more fun! And then comes...Bowser Jr.?!? Get totally soaked with incredible amounts of water and enjoy Mario's world come to life at this exhilarating hot, but cool festival only held at the Park!
The event will run from Wednesday, July 5 until Thursday, August 24 three times per day, roughly 15 minutes per session. Special goods, such as the Mario themed “Water Shooter” and color changing t-shirt (it changes colors when wet) are also available.
