AEW: Fight Forever is currently available to pre-order on the Nintendo eShop in North America with both the standard and Elite Edition versions available. However the game is missing entirely from the Switch eShop in Japan. In a press release from THQ Nordic Japan, the company shared that the game is now available to pre-order on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and Steam (Wishlist), but asked fans to “please wait for information on the release date for the Switch version of the game (for Japan).” No timeframe was given.
Oddly enough, the Switch version of the game on the North American storefront lists Japanese as one of the available languages. Of course, gamers in Japan can just opt to create a My Nintendo account from a region that offers that game and pick it up that way. This will still prove inconvenient for some.
The standard version of AEW: Fight Forever retails for ¥7,590 (¥7,600 on Xbox) in Japan while the Elite Edition is set at ¥10,450 (¥10,500 on Xbox) and releases on June 29. For more on the game, be sure to check out our hands on impressions from Tokyo Game Show 2022 here or in the video below.
