A hotly anticipated party game sequel from Konami was given a solid release date at the June 21 Nintendo Direct. Momotarō Dentetsu World: Chikyū wa Kibō de Mawatteru will be released on Thursday, November 16 and retail for ¥6,930. Those that pre-order the game on the Switch eShop (not yet available) or various retailers across Japan will be able to receive a digital copy of the Super Momotarō Dentetsu II (Super Famicom, unrelated to the Nintendo Switch Online service).
This new entry into the series will have players going all over globe - a contrast from the usual traversing around Japan. Ironically, Momotarō Dentetsu World is, for the moment, limited to a Japan only release. Given the history of the series and Konami’s reluctance to release many of their Japan only IP outside of Japan, this will likely remain the case. You can see the second trailer for the game below.
Momotarō Dentetsu World: Chikyū wa Kibō de Mawatteru was originally revealed at the February 2023 Nintendo Direct. While the first Switch title released in late 2019 and has sold over 3.5 million units but has yet to leave Japanese shores. You can see our Preview for the first title below.
