The promised 2023 update for eBaseball Powerful Pro Baseball 2022 finally has a release date - Thursday, March 30. This will come as a free update and bring the 2023 rosters (as of January 31, 2023) to the game. This will bring the Switch to version 1.9.0 and the PlayStation 4 to version 1.09. Once updated, you will be able to choose to either play the game with the 2022 or 2023 rosters/mode. Several new characters have also been added to Success Mode and various bug fixes have been implemented. Despite some relatively big changes to ballparks (the Nippon Ham Fighters have a new Stadium and the Seibu Lions have a new stadium name, for example), the in-game models are still based on 2021 builds.
Several of the modes will no longer be playable in the 2022 version of the game. These include Eikan Nine, Online Tournaments, Live Scenario, Home Run Attack, Score Attack, Championship and Power Park.
