While gamers in the West have known the release of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope for awhile now, the September 13 Nintendo Direct in Japan dropped the domestic release date. Mario + Rabbids Galaxy Battle (the Japanese name for the title) is hitting the Nintendo Switch on December 2. The physical version of the game will retail for ¥6,578 while the digital version will go for ¥6,500.
Nintendo is once again taking on publishing duties for the game in Japan. With that said, Sparks of Hope can be purchase via the Game Voucher program. Vouchers run ¥9,980 for two titles, which can be beneficial in Japan due to the wide range in prices of games. Most Nintendo first party titles run ¥6,500, however, some games, such as Xenoblade 3, can run as high as ¥8,700 each.
Sparks of Hope wasn’t the only Mario + Rabbids info to come out of the Direct. Nintendo also revealed that the next Game Trial for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers in Japan is none other than Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle. You can read more about that here.
