A new side entry into the Dragon Quest series is set to hit the Nintendo Switch on December 9 worldwide. Titled Dragon Quest Treasures, this new title puts players into the roles of Erik or Mia from Dragon Quest XI as they search for treasure, team up with and take out monsters. Teaming up with the monsters can give players different ways to access various parts of the world. For example, you can use a Slime to bounce to out-of-reach places or a Dracky to help you fly around.
Two physical versions will be available in Japan when Treasures launches - a standard edition and a Special Edition version. The Special Edition includes a physical version of the game, a Slime piggy bank (roughly 20 cm around) with Erik and Mia silhouettes printed on the back and download codes for three in-game monsters. The Special Edition of Treasures can only be purchased from the Square Enix e-Store, Lawson Loppi and HMV. The standard version retails for ¥7,990 while the Special Edition will sell for ¥12,890. As it stands right now, this version is exclusive to Japan.

Yep! While this isn't usually the case with Square Enix released games in Japan, Treasures IS going to have an English language option on the Japanese version. This applies to both the eShop and in turn the physical release, too.
