Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic has been on the Nintendo Switch since late 2021. While Aspyr did add Japanese support to the game back in January via a patch, the game remained absent from the Japanese eShop until now. As of May 12, 2022, Knights of the Old Republic is out for the first time ever in Japan. As of right now, it is Switch only and retails for ¥1,695. To try out the game in Japanese, you must set your Switch system settings to Japanese.
While many of the classic Star Wars titles on the Switch did not see Japanese language support from the get go, some titles (such as Episode I Racer, Republic Commando) have received it over time. The most recent example from Aspyr, The Force Unleashed, received Japanese support day and date with the West back in April.
