MLB The Show 22 is still a little over a month before it officially releases on the Nintendo Switch and other platforms, but MLB is giving gamers a chance to try out the game early. Right now, a “Tech Test” app is available as a free download on the North American eShop. The test itself will begin on February 17 around 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time (February 18, 3:00 a.m. Japan Time) and run until February 23 at 10:00 a.m. PT (February 24, 3:00 a.m. JT). The purpose of the Tech Test is to not only give players a chance to try out the game early, but also to give valuable feedback to the developers ahead of release in regard to crossplay and cross-platform functionality.
To participate the Tech Test on the Nintendo Switch, you will need to have an active Nintendo Switch Online membership. You can download the demo from the North American web portal here or via the eShop on your Nintendo Switch. The Tech Test is currently not available for download outside of the North American eShop.
