An online workshop for Game Builder Garage is going to be held online this summer in Japan. Titled the “Aim to be a Game Creator Online Workshop,” this online workshop is aimed at elementary and junior high school children and will be taking place between July 22 to September 30. Those interested in participating are required to register online and then pay a ¥1,000 registration fee. The workshop will be held via Zoom and last around two hours per session.
Additionally, a game creation contest using Game Builder Garage is also being held for elementary, junior high and high school students. Registration and entry are completely free and several categories are available here as well. Entrants can start submitting their games in late July.
Both the workshop and contest are being put together by Robot Programming Kyōshitsu (Classroom), a cram school that specializes in teaching math, science and programming. The school has 115 classrooms and over 4,000 students across Japan.
