Kotoba no Puzzle: Mojipittan Encore, a Japanese word puzzle game released by Bandai Namco in 2020, will be the next Game Trial title in Japan. The game will be available from Monday, July 19 at 12:00 p.m. until Sunday, July 25 at 5:59 p.m. As is the norm with Game Trial titles, Kotoba no Puzzle Mojipittan Encore itself will be 30% off between July 19 until August 1 for ¥2,464 (roughly $22 USD).
Whether intentionally or not, the most recent Game Trials in Japan have leaned heavily on inaccessibility for non-Japanese speakers, offering the Japanese language only version of games. Kotoba no Puzzle is a word puzzle game in Japanese with absolutely no English. If that isn’t going to stop you from trying the game out, you can check out our handy video guide on how to access the Japanese Game Trials below.
This marks the seventh Game Trial to be released in Japan in 2021 and the 18th since the service began. The previous Game Trial in Japan was Valkyria Chronicles between July 5 and July 11.
Oddly enough, another super Japanese game has a connection to Kotoba no Puzzle. Hiroyuki Goto, the creator of the Mojipittan series, had a hand in helping with Super Nodage Party on the Switch. You can check out our review of that game here.
