Sonic Colors Ultimate, a remastered version of the 2010 Sega title, is coming to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC (via the Epic Game Store) on September 9, 2021 in Japan (September 7 in the West). Gamers in Japan will also be able to get a little something extra, with a Japan exclusive 30th Anniversary Package. This package contains the game (either PS4 or Switch) as well as an art book, a CD called “Life in Sonic’s World,” as well as a commemorative coin. The set will retail for ¥9,889 (roughly $90 USD) while the regular version of the game physically will sell for ¥4,389.
Various retailers across Japan will also be offering different goodies to customers that purchase Sonic Colors Ultimate, ranging from a mini soundtrack from Amazon JP, a “Deluxe Bag” from the Sega Online Store and more. You can check out photos of the available items below.
For Sonic’s 10th anniversary in Japan, Sega released a special collector’s edition of Sonic Adventure 2 on the Dreamcast, which contained the game and a special commemorative coin. You can see pictures of that set below.
