5. The Battle Cats - Futari de!Nyanko Daisensou
Starting off the list is the awesome Switch version of The Battle Cats - Futari de!Nyanko Daisensou, which I’m over 10 hours in and have just completed a review for Miketendo64. An addictive game that deserves to be up there with both Super Bomberman and Penguin Wars in the fun and frantic category.
3=. Super Mario Party / Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Tied for third is both with both around 15 hours each. Both truly great games and deserving of their success.
2. OCTOPATH TRAVELER
This is my game of the year, with my only regret being not finding time to finish it (30 hours) and is second most-played game of the year.
1. Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu
This was my most played game of the year with around 45 hours. Not as good as the original Pokémon Yellow, but so many nights spent in front of the fire, drinking mulled wine and playing co-op mode with my bestie lead to nothing but fond memories of the title.
